Nestled against the foothills of Kilcunda and standing alongside the quirky Killy Cafe and The Kilcunda "Hotel" (Aussie term for "Pub"), these 13 rooms, privately owned motel boasts panoramic views of the Bass Coast line. Across the road, adults and children alike can enjoy the therapeutic ocean views, the wonders of Bass Coast and amenities (incl. BBQ pit, children play ground), watch whales (during whale watching season in winter) or just wade in the ever-changing tidal rock pools and beaches during summer.

Kilcunda is central to some of the best surf breaks and ocean fishing in Victoria. Walkers and hikers are also in for a treat as the famous George Bass coast walk starts from this village and goes all the way to the Punchbowl in San Remo or hike/cycle the opposite direction through the Bourne Creek Trestle Bridge and the Bass Coast Rail Trail.

A short distance (10 - 20 km radius) from the Motel are the towns of Wonthaggi, Inverloch and San Remo (of Phillip Island). These coastal towns, in combination, offers diverse and fun activities, an eclectic range of vineyards, cafes, restaurants, bars, gelataria, art studios, chocolate factory, markets and coastal town shopping outlets.  The famous Wilson Promontory Marine and National Park, approximately 100 km south east, is another splendid option for outdoor adventures.

Should you choose to stay locally, The Killy Cafe (in Kilcunda General Store) is a must for your early morning wholesome breakfast and freshly ground coffee, as well provides eclectic lunch menu with locally farmed and organically grown produces. The next-door Kilcunda Hotel ("Killy Pub") boasts diverse live entertainment, an awesome veranda to sit and enjoy that afternoon or evening drinks as well serve hearty meals with an array of fresh fish, seafood and local produces. And perhaps take the time to admire the newly opened (21 Dec 2023) retail-community hub named "The Sticks" - it is an architecture-delight as well. Browse and shop at the retail pods or just relax at the fabulous delicatessen in Udder & Hoe or indulge in artisan-gelato by Licca Lucca (beautifully created using locally sourced ingredients) at The Sticks' open terrace.
